The Uniform Shop is run by the Shop Manager, Ms Ruth Eadie, and is situated upstairs from the Student Office.
The Shop Manager may be reached by phone on 348 4165 ext 855 during shop hours or by email red@villa.school.nz. Email is preferable to phone calls as it can be very busy during shop hours.
WINTER UNIFORM FITTINGS FOR NEW STUDENTS
New students who do not yet have their winter uniform may wear their summer uniform for the first two weeks of Term 2. The Uniform Shop will do winter uniform fittings on the following days, from 3pm – 5pm.
Monday 2 May
Thursday 3 May
Monday 9 May
Thursday 10 May
Fitting appointments will be available during that time and bookings must be made online.
To make a booking go to https://www.schoolinterviews.co.nz/code/enkwe or
www.schoolinterviews.co.nz and enter the event code enkwe.
Click on the drop-down menu under ‘book’ and select ‘2’ if you have more than one daughter needing fittings at the same time.
If you need to change your booking time on the website, remember to cancel your original booking first! A booking is essential (even for a few items) as we are unable to do fittings during lunchtimes.
We allow 30 minutes per booking, and students will be fitted for winter sports uniforms at the same time. Purchases can be made on the day. Payment is by Eftpos or Credit Card, we are not able to accept cash at this time. Alternatively, parents/caregivers can pay online (please use the reference ‘Uniform’ and the student’s name). Orders can be collected once payment is made.
Under the current Covid settings, we ask that you limit attendance to one parent/caregiver per student and no siblings. Please ensure that you sign in at the College Main Office reception on arrival for your appointment, wear a mask at all times, and sanitise your hands. Please wait outside downstairs near the Student Office until you are called for your appointment.
If you or your daughter is unwell and unable to attend your fitting, there will be an opportunity to purchase uniform when she returns to school. In this instance, please cancel your booking to make the time available for others.
If you are unable to book online, please contact Ruth Eadie via email red@villa.school.nz to make other arrangements.

Caring for your Villa Maria College Uniform
Summer dress
Please do not soak the garment. A Sard (or similar) soap should be used regularly to spot clean the white collar (do not use bleach or spray-on products). The garment can be washed on a cool, gentle machine cycle with a mild detergent. Drip dry inside out in the shade (do not tumble dry). A warm iron may be used to press the dress, but should not really be necessary.
Blazer
Please note the blazers are dry clean only.
We stock replacement buttons in the Uniform Shop at $2 each. Please use a strong yarn to replace them as the metal seems to cut through normal cotton very quickly.
Winter Skirt
These are made from a wool mix fabric. Please check the care label inside your skirt. They can be washed on a gentle cycle in the washing machine.
Cardigan
These are a wool mix garment and can be machine washed on a delicate/wool cycle.
Please check the care label on the garment.
Blouses
Please try to keep the cuffs and collar clean by regularly scrubbing with Sard soap or similar. They can be machine washed – preferably with light coloured garments.
Naming
Please take the time to ensure all items of uniform are named.
The Board of Trustees requires all students to wear the correct uniform which is stocked at the Villa Uniform Shop. Please note: All articles on the uniform list and other possessions such as swimming costumes, towels, tennis racquets, hockey sticks, cases, etc. must be clearly marked. Girls are strongly encouraged to wear sun hats whilst outdoors. See below for specific uniform requirements.
Each code will have specific requirements and students should check with the Uniform Shop Manager or the Director of Sport for guidance on correct uniforms.
Students must be in correct sports uniform when representing the College. No other clothing is to be worn apart from Villa Maria clothing.
Some items will be supplied to team members but others must be purchased from the Uniform Shop.
Purchase from Uniform Shop:
Most other sports require College PE shorts and a College issued top.
