Our Learning Behaviours

As a College, we work to develop learning behaviours in our girls which equip them to make a difference in their lives and the lives of our community.

These represent the key traits that the community, staff and students believe are necessary for success in the Mercy graduate.

The College works with individuals, whānau and our community to nurture the development of these learning behaviours in our students.

The staff at Villa Maria are committed to creating lifelong learners and nurturing each girl and her academic needs. We are extremely proud of our academic success. NZQA data shows that Villa Maria students consistently perform well above the national average for all New Zealand schools. Striving for excellence is part of the College culture, and girls are guided and supported to set goals and achieve their potential. Our smaller class sizes are a significant advantage, and our teachers are specialists in their field and passionate about educating girls.
