At Villa Maria College participation in both College and community events is encouraged.

Drama and Musical Theatre

Each year students have the opportunity to take part in a major musical production which is produced in conjunction with St Thomas of Canterbury College.  This production is hosted at Villa in alternate (odd) years. During the 'even' years students have the opportunity to participate in "Stage Challenge".

Performance opportunities are encouraged and there are public productions at year 11, 12 and 13 year levels in Drama. Other highlights in the College performing arts calendar include Theatre Sports and Crash Bash.

Mercy in Action

College students are encouraged, via their Vertical Groups and Houses, to exercise their entrepreneurial skills in fundraising for Caritas and Mercy charities. They also participate in Mercy Day every second year which is a day when Villa Maria College students welcome young people with special needs from the community to spend the day with them at the College.

Mercy Action groups provide practical ways for individual students to engage further in community service.
